THR: FilmBuff Acquires Sister-Driven Dramedy ‘Jane Wants a Boyfriend’

FilmBuff has acquired worldwide distribution rights to Jane Wants a Boyfriend.

The dramedy follows a week in the life of Jane, a young woman on the autism spectrum living in New York City as she and her older sister try to find Jane a boyfriend.

The film, which recently had its west coast premiere at the Napa Valley Film Festival, stars Louisa Krause and Eliza Dushku, with William Sullivan directing the Jarret Kerr-penned script.

Lauren Rachel Brady produced the film, while Anne Dempsey executive produced.

“We are so excited to be working with William on releasing Jane Wants a Boyfriend,” says FilmBuff’s Sam Scupp. “The film is a touching and personal story of courage and sisterhood, and we are proud to help bring it to audiences everywhere.”
